In his blog post, What It’s Really Like to Work in Addiction Treatment, Process managing partner, Chris DiNicola, writes:
“Find the good… Shine light on the people who are changing their lives. Shine light on the people who are helping. There are people who are sacrificing to do this – giving up large parts of their spirit and their mental space. These people are soldiers in this fight. I don’t read enough about these people”.
While we can’t control news or social media, we can set an example. How can we expect our culture to change if we’re not engaged in the work ourselves? In that spirit, we’ve committed to regularly featuring the positive on our website. We’ve been bringing you addiction recovery success stories, but we’ve neglected the helpers. Until now.
Helpers are dedicated individuals who give selflessly of themselves to people in need. We hope you will help us celebrate their compassion by sharing their light in your own corner of the world.
